My favorite baby/children stores
Prior to finding out I was pregnant, I kept a secret pinterest board of clothing styles for babies and young children. I quickly noticed that many of the items I was pinning all came from European brands, which tend to have that

Styling the baby bump: 19 weeks...It's a boy!
Twenty weeks has arrived, and just like that I am half way there! Up until this past Monday, I was fairly certain that we were going to have a baby girl. I'll blame it on the old wive's tales, even though I always scored 50/50 on those.

Styling the baby bump: What I wore at 18 weeks
Every day my husband keeps telling me, in a sweet way, that my belly is getting bigger. Since I've always been insecure about my weight, it doesn't always sound so sweet to my ears, but I'm trying to appreciate that a growing

Styling the baby bump: What I wore at 17 weeks
Another week has gone by and my baby, at 18 weeks, is now the size of a croissant. Yum! In addition, my days of sickness have officially been over for almost two weeks now, which makes me so happy! I finally feel like I have an

Styling the baby bump: What I wore at 13 weeks
One of my biggest concerns when I found out I was pregnant was how to incorporate my minimalist wardrobe alongside a growing belly, and how to do so without relying on maternity clothes. The truth is, I know there is a

French Quarter Wanderings - What I Wore
I love being in the presence of architecture with character, details, history, and charm. Therefore, it may sound as no surprise when I say that the French Quarter in New Orleans kept me in utter awe of the pastel colored buildings,

A few of my favorite fall minimalist looks
One of my favorite aspects to these autumn months other than the cooler weather, pumpkin coffee, and increased amount of baked goods, is dressing in layers and chunky knit sweaters. So in putting together my favorite

Sweaters and overalls
When overalls began making a comeback, I was a bit skeptical at first. Perhaps it's because the only time I ever remember wearing overalls is as a child. But after I bought my first pair, I never regretted it. I remember the

Rainy days and vulnerability
Grey, rainy days are best spent indoors, bundled up, with the blinds open, and a good book in hand. This weekend's forecast is all gloom and thunderstorms...aka what I consider to be happy weather! Currently I'm all about

A neutral pallet and the addition of linen
Linen has quickly become my new favorite fabric. It has a romantic touch, like I should be running through a field of flowers along the countryside of France or walking through an orchard picking apples to make

Obsession with Stripes
It's true. I have an obsession with stripes! I don't know if it's because they're simple, trendy, chic, or cause they have some magical way of making me feel Parisian. :) I found this dress when I was initially searching for my very first "Little Black Dress" to wear to a bridal shower with a pearls and black dress theme. Let's be honest. I failed at finding a black dress, especially when my eyes fell on this dress. To be fair, I did search around to find a black dress I would enjoy more than this one, but it didn't quite work out...and I wanted my money to be spent well, so I decided that since this dress was mostly black, it might work. Naturally, a week later I did find one and wore it to the wedding. :)
